Scott Andersen, MA
I’m a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and U.S. military veteran who brings both structure and empathy into the therapy room. I’m known for my warm, grounded presence and for helping clients find clarity and strength through life’s challenges. Whether working with teens, adults, or couples, I aim to create a space that balances emotional safety with meaningful growth.
My clinical experience spans issues such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, identity development, and relationship dynamics. I’ve received advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the Gottman Method, which enhances my work with trauma and couples, respectively. I’m also a proud member of the American Counseling Association and actively pursue ongoing professional development to stay aligned with best practices.
I am passionate about helping people challenge the thoughts that limit them, rewrite old narratives, and step into more intentional and empowered lives. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the U.S. military and also had a 20-year career in corporate America. My background continues to influence the way I hold space for others navigating complex emotional terrain.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy the outdoors, reading, and trying the latest taco shop. A fun fact: I’m a veteran who now finds deep joy in slowing down and listening—a skill the military didn’t teach me, but life certainly did.
