Yes. Studies show that the majority of clients experience substantial relief, and almost all of them were treatment-resistant, having tried countless medications, and in some cases, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and/or transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy with little to no relief.
There are a few. If you are pregnant or suffer from a seizure disorder (epilepsy), uncontrolled chronic conditions (especially high blood pressure), some arrhythmias, or taking MAO inhibitors (such as phenelzine), ketamine treatment should not be administered. There are several other conditions that will prevent you from being treated with ketamine. These will be addressed during the screening process and personalized interview and assessment.
No, you do not need a referral to receive treatment at TRU Wellness Center. We welcome new clients and are here to support anyone seeking relief from mental health conditions.
