Nichole K. Salinas, MA, LAC, is a licensed associate counselor dedicated to providing holistic, compassionate care for clients from all walks of life. Drawing from her personal experiences with grief and loss, Nichole is driven to instill hope in those navigating trauma, substance use challenges, and a range of mental health conditions. She specializes in trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, grief work, relationships, and boundary building, offering a tailored approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
Nichole utilizes psychoeducation as a core part of her practice, empowering clients to understand their own recovery journeys and fostering collaboration in treatment planning. Alongside her counseling work, Nichole brings a unique perspective gained from her full-time role at the University of Arizona, where she supports adult students balancing work, school, and family responsibilities. This vantage point enriches her ability to connect with clients juggling similar demands. A recent graduate herself, Nichole is continuing her professional growth by pursuing additional training, including a planned certification in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Known for her openness, creativity, and problem-solving skills, Nichole believes in the inherent capacity of people to change and the incredible transformations that therapeutic work can bring. She is a proud and busy mother of six teenagers, a role that has taught her the art of adaptability and connection. Whether she’s fostering new insights in her clients’ lives or enjoying family movie nights and outdoor adventures, Nichole is committed to creating spaces where growth and healing can thrive.
